My art is multidisciplinary. It began with canvas and paints but has since evolved into fiber and textile creations. Using clipped hair fibers as an art medium was a natural extension of my hairdressing. It feels like hair chose me, not the other way around. Through design and art, I aim to innovate, creating functional, sculpture-like objects that encourage people to see hair as a valuable material.This is why material knowledge, science and traditional handcraft techniques like felting and yarn spinning are so important in my work.
The guiding philosophy and deepest inspiration for my work is rooted in understanding that all things are interconnected, emerging from the interaction of causes and conditions. This reflects the symbiotic bond between humanity and the natural world.
